Hearing from neighbors of amounts of rain last night from 1 to 1.5 inches across only about 30 miles, I wondered what patterns it made. This interesting precipitation map from National Weather Service shows streaks of rain, with people a few miles apart getting different amounts. Not surprisingly, they resemble radar maps from last night.
