Registration open for South Georgia Growing Local 2016

Registration is open now for the annual conference on local food and local agriculture, South Georgia Growing Local 2016, to be held Saturday 26 February 2016 at Pine Grove Middle School, Lowndes County, Georgia.

On that same page you will find links to pictures, videos, and other material from previous years, as well as some information about two other related conferences in other parts of south Georgia. This is the third year in Lowndes County, and this conference series started in 2010 in Tifton.

Fruits, vegetables, herbs, fish, goats, hogs, chickens, bees, bugs, soils, planting, growing, cooking, oils, textiles, water, and solar power, are among the topics from previous years. Most of those and more will be back this year!

Please remember, you don’t even have to be from south Georgia! North Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, or points farther away: all are welcome.
