Was less work than expected.

Not burying it as deep this year, though. Only need four inches of dirt to keep it from freezing, not two feet to shovel off.

Excavating cane from its winter bed

Made rows with the planter. Laid out the cane doubled along the rows. Covered with the cultivator. Finished up with a hoe covering all that wasn’t.
