In this picture of the Alamo Theatre in Valdosta in 1922, note the round windows in the brick front. Compare to the round window visible just past the Dosta marquee in the previous post. Is this the same building?
Some interesting things are inside town,
for example the Lowndes County Courthouse in Valdosta,
star of stage (a high school drama production was once held in one of its courtrooms)
and screen (Fried Green Tomatoes).

Hawaiians and others call them tree tunnels.
On the back roads, where development hasn’t come; that’s where you find them.
